A gracious setting with a countryside atmosphere yet only 30 minutes from Gauteng, Bellgables offers those who are looking for something a little more extraordinary nothing less than a delight for the senses.
Bellgables incorporates the visual appeal of classical eclecticism with the delicate smells of an abundance of fresh flowers; teamed with hosts who leave absolutely no detail unattended to. Table settings transform into exquisite visions with each piece carefully selected and placed to allow for the ultimate fine dining experience.
Delectable cuisine is meticulously prepared by patron chef Errol Gobey. Awards dished out to Bellgables include being named one of the top 30 restaurants by Moët & Chandon amongst others.
The Classic Dining Room seats 30 people comfortably while the Crystal Dining Room can accommodate 50 guests. Bellgables can accommodate a maximum of 80 people and for a perfect chapel backdrop, one could consider our art gallery, which houses an impressive collection built up over many years.

Our Unique Location
Bellgables is situated inside The Cradle Moon Conservancy, which was created to focus on conservation and rehabilitating the land and wildlife in the area. Because of the new conservation initiatives that have been put into place, our guests are now afforded the opportunity to experience wildlife roaming freely. Newly introduced game includes Giraffe, Zebra, Kudu, Sable, Red Hartebeest, Blue Wildebeest, Impala and Springbuck. In support of the conservation efforts, we charge a minimal fee per vehicle to help develop and maintain the conservation project.

At Bellgables meticulous care goes into everything we do, and this includes your wedding day. Errol Gobey, owner and chef, is also a trained florist and has worked with countless photographers and brides in order to ensure that the special day goes exactly according to plan.
Errol offers his services as your exclusive wedding coordinator and you can be rest assured that with his attention to detail and eye for elegant design your wedding will be an occasion to be remembered by all. Errol works closely with all his wedding parties as well as suppliers and can facilitate everything needed from the initial planning stages through to the final reception proceedings.

OH, MY GOODNESS … order those ubers and get going! Of course, Bellgables Country Restaurant needs no introduction however while I am sitting here sharing my last experience with Errol and his team, I am very excited about tonight’s five course meal pairing with five wines from the Culinaria Collection that we are attending. To go a little back in time, we had the privilege of being hosted by Errol to celebrate not only my, but also my fiancé’s FIFTY birthdays mid-May. As usual Bellgables did not disappoint, and I am so happy we took time to take pictures. Upon arrival an inviting fire met us with a friendly server pouring my favourite beverage, sparking wine. As not all guests arrived promptly, we sat outside enjoying the warmth the fire offered and caught up on recent news with excitement about the evening ahead. Well, nothing could prepare us for what waited inside – the décor was exceptional. As we know, a picture tells a thousand words. We were a party of 16 and ordered starters ranging between “Trio of soups’, “salmon roses”, “halloumi rolls” and “black mushroom”. No one was left needing unless they wanted MORE! We had the “trio of soups”, and I should not have eaten all the scrumptious bread served along with it. The soups were insanely good. Professional, service-orientated waiters were at our beck and call as we finished one glass of wine after the other. Soon the mains arrived and again a few favourites were ordered – “pan fried salmon”, “fillet medallions” and “lamb shank”. I’ve personally tried all of them before but decided to tuck into lamb shank on this occasion … fall-off-the-bone flavourful and a very generous portion indeed. Every single person, even our very picky foodie friends were exhaling roars of excitement with each bite of their meals. A few decided to indulge in some tasty treats, but I ordered a yummy whiskey dom pedro … oh wait, what is this? Chef Errol prepared the most beautiful dessert plates for the birthday girl and boy! Oh, my soul, we were able to tuck in AND share with the rest of our guests as there was more than enough to go around – exquisite crème brulee, sorbet and strawberry mousse. Again, upholding to Bellgables’ unfailing standard of quality and taste. Errol, thank you very much to you and your dedicated team who make each experience, a memorable one.
